Buyer's Guide
Are the phones you sell brand new?
All of the phones we sell are 100% brand new in the original manufacturer's box, direct from the manufacturer's distributors. Our phones are NOT LOCKED to any network or contract which means you simply have to place your SIM card into the phone and turn it on.

We do not, and never will, sell secondhand phones and absolutely guarantee you will be receiving a brand new phone.

This means you will always be getting genuine, 100% authentic phones, direct from the factories of Sony, Nokia, Samsung, Motorola, etc. If the phone says Nokia in the description, you will be getting a 100% guaranteed Nokia phone made in a Nokia factory. It's that simple.
How do I know what is Vodafone or 2 Degree or Telecom XT?
A key part of any mobile phone specification is its operating frequency bands. The supported frequency bands determine whether a certain handset is compatible with a certain network carrier.

The phones that we sell that work on the new Telecom XT network are differentiated from Vodafone or 2 degree capable phones by having -x or -2 or -3 or -b after the phones name (eg Nokia N85-3).

For your phone to work on the new 3G Telecom XT network your phone needs the following;

3G capabilities

Required

UMTS 850 or UMTS 2100

Recommended

UMTS 850 and UMTS 2100

If you are unsure email us.
What is contained in a parallel mobile phone box?
Parallel Importing in New Zealand was made legal in about 1998 to allow competition in the marketplace.

As our stock is sourced internationally, there are sometimes small variations compared to the local model.
Usually, this is only a minor difference, such as different packaging, manuals, or a wall charger for a different country.

We'll always include either a charger/socket converter, an AU/NZ original wall charger, or sometimes both - subject to availability.

Where possible we will also supply C-Tick chargers.

We are regsitered with the Ministry of Economic Development for Radio Frequency.

Where possible, we include manuals in English, although occasionally we're not able to obtain these. Manuals are readily available online - we'll happily provide a link to these for you on request.

Some phone models will have a provider logo printed on the device. For example, BlackBerry PDA phones are normally almost impossible to obtain without a 'plan' - so most BlackBerry's we sell will bear the logo of American mobile phone providers such as AT&T, T-Mobile etc. We try to note this as accurately as possible in the product listing, although as stock moves very quickly, this is subject to variation. If there's any doubt, you can always contact us prior to purchase.
Where do your phones come from?
All of the phones we sell are brand new imported models and we source them from various places around the world, including Europe, Asia and USA. We do keep some phones in stock in our Tauranga office and our returns/warranty centre in Cambridge but most are sent on our behalf direct from our suppliers with whom we have now been working with for over three years.
